As the Executive Chairman of Quill, Julian Bryan continues to play an active role in the strategic direction and vision for Quill to deliver more growth and value to clients through practical legal software and outsourced offerings (legal cashiering, payroll, digital post room and typing).
For over ten years, Julian Bryan previously served as the Managing Director of Quill. Julian brings a passion for the legal industry as well as 36 years of software experience, strength of commercial thinking, a successful track record of managing change and executing strategy, and the ability to motivate a diverse organisation. His ultimate goal is for Quill to gain widespread recognition as an ethical, responsible provider of transformative, future proofed software and outsourced services to the legal sector.
Committed to developing solutions that deliver tangible benefits to users, Julian has been instrumental during his time as MD in introducing enhancements to the company’s legal accounting, case and document management system for solicitors, and expanding the range of outsourcing services to encompass cashiering, payroll, digital post room and typing. In fact, Quill is proud to also be the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
During Julian’s time as Quill’s MD, he also served as the Chair of the Legal Software Suppliers Association, the UK industry body for legal systems developers and vendors, from 2016 to 2019, where he fully embraced his role as an advocate of quality software and promoter of high professional standards.
Prior to Quill, Julian was Managing Director of Veterinary Solutions Ltd, which he grew from 300 to 1400 clients in ten years. Julian has extensive experience in delivering software and service solutions to food producers, veterinary surgeons, dentists and, most recently, solicitors.
Julian is now working a long way from his agricultural roots but retains his interest by ‘farming’ a vegetable patch in his garden. He is married to Carolyn and they have a daughter, Alexandra, who is a keen marketer.
