On Monday 22nd May, 22 people were tragically killed and 120 were injured after an explosion in the foyer of Manchester Arena following an Ariana Grande concert.
A fund's been set up by the British Red Cross, in association with Manchester City Council, to raise money for those who've been injured or bereaved by the bomb attack, to ensure victims and their families don't have to face short-term financial difficulties.
Already donations have exceeded £2 million. We're supporting the British Red Cross appeal and hope you can too. To donate, visit www.redcross.org.uk/manchester or www.justgiving.com, call 0300 456 4999 or go to your local British Red Cross shop.
As a country, we're still in a state of shock. But, we're a resilient nation and there's no doubt that, with determination, life will return to 'normal' in order to prove that the actions of people who commit such atrocities will remain futile. This is perhaps the best tribute and commemoration we can offer to those who've lost their lives and to their loved ones.
