The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is one of the largest government departments. They administer and regulate the justice system in England and Wales.
The MoJ works to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.
The justice system must punish the guilty, protect our liberties and rehabilitate offenders. The MoJ ensures that more criminals make amends to victims and communities for the harm they have caused and helps them break the destructive cycle of crime.
