Quill’s Victories at the 2023 Best Companies Awards
27/09/23Guess what? Quill has officially been named one of the best mid-sized technology companies to work for in the North West, according to Best Companies. We’re not just any employer, we’re an outstanding one!
In the most recent Best Companies league tables (which they update every quarter), we scored big. We landed at #11 for ‘Best Technology Company To Work For In The UK’, #16 for ‘Best Mid-Sized Company To Work For In The UK’, and #25 for ‘Best Company To Work For In The North West’. And that’s not all – we got an overall two-star rating! These accolades are solid proof that Quill is a responsible, generous, and compassionate organisation.
As the Head of People and Culture at Quill, and as someone who’s been part of this incredible company for seven years, I can tell you firsthand what it’s like to be part of Quill. It’s pretty amazing, and I truly appreciate the effort that goes into making it that way.
We take workplace engagement and employee well-being seriously. That’s why we are constantly expanding our benefits and support programs. We show our caring side with a growing range of rewards and perks. We operate openly, with regular full-staff meetings. And most importantly, we listen carefully by providing various opportunities for staff feedback. I’m proud to contribute to these ongoing developments and enhancements. It’s what makes working at Quill not only enjoyable but also incredibly satisfying. I know that I can make a positive impact on the lives of our people.
Just recently, I had the privilege of being part of the Best Companies Live event at Manchester’s MediaCity. I was invited to sit on Best Companies’ iconic big, red chair as part of their live studio panel, discussing ‘Workplace wellbeing and the impact of culture’. It was such a surreal experience being interviewed by presenter Dan Walker in front of the TV cameras. But you know what? I learned so much about initiatives other businesses use to transform team spirit, leadership, culture, engagement, and well-being.
The real-life success stories shared during Best Companies Live inspire us at Quill to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, connected, and part of something greater than themselves. It was also comforting to hear that what we’re already doing aligns with what others are doing, and it’s making a difference.
